Brazilian club Sao Paulo has aborted its plans to hold a training camp early next year in the USA.
During the World Cup Sao Paulo trained in the USA in Orlando and the club had planned to return in January 2015 to compete in a tournament with Fluminense and German sides Cologne and Bayer Leverkusen. But the club decided to cancel their participation in the American venture yesterday due to scheduling problems.
Indeed, the Paulista club is still in with a chance to win the Copa Sul-Americana. The final will be staged on December 10th, but reuglations require that players have a full month of vacation.
The tournament in Orlando is set for the second week of January 2015. Therefore the club has decided to withdraw.
However, Sao Paulo will face Orlando City as was agreed following the transfer of Kaka.
