Midfielder Hernanes has hailed Internazionale’s character after their 2-2 draw with Napoli.
The Milan-based club twice came from behind to secure a much needed point and Hernanes was pleased with the way they dug out a result.
“We talked about it in the locker room and said we looked like a real team at last. We communicated more on the field too,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“At times these moments arrive when you need to pull out that determination from within yourself and turn around a difficult situation.”
Hernanes has had a mixed start to life at Inter following his move from Lazio in January, but after netting the decisive equaliser against Napoli, the 29 year-old believes he’s getting back to his best.
“Speaking personally, I am starting to get into my physical top form and that’s very important for me,” he continued. “When I’m fit, I can be sharp and do more of what I’m capable of.”
Hernanes’ late header was his first goal in over over a month and despite the wait, he insists he will never lose his trademark backflip celebration.
“it’s like riding a bicycle. You never forget how to do it.”
