Goalkeeper Neto is hoping to remain in Europe, even if Fiorentina don’t renew his contract.

The 25 year-old, who was signed from Atlético Paranaense in January 2011 for a reported fee of €3.5 million, sees his current deal expire in June 2015 and so far hasn’t been offered fresh terms.

With the likes of Juventus and other big clubs said to be keen on signing him, Neto is unlikely to be short on offers if he is forced to leave and the Araxá native is eager to continue playing in Europe.

“At the moment I don’t want to leave Europe, as I am doing well and feel welcome here,” he told ESPN in South America.

“I am not thinking about the renewal. I’m just concentrated on my work and in good form. The club would like me to renew straight away, but we haven’t reached an agreement yet. Fiorentina remains my first choice.”
