Celta de Vigo forward Charles has insisted his is willing to be patient despite his lack of playing time.

The 30 year-old was a regular under Head Coach Luis Enrique last term, but following his departure to Barcelona and the arrival of forward Joaquín Larrivey, Charles has featured for just 103 minutes so far this season.

“It’s not easy to get used to but this is La Primera and there are some very good players about, so I can only work and wait for my chance,” he conceded, as reported by Football Espana.

“I’ve got no option but to take advantage of any minutes I get and go out there as though they were the last of my life.

“You have to respect the person who is playing because obviously he is doing well, but it was very difficult for me reach the top flight and this won’t discourage me.

“Even so, I think Larrivey and myself could be compatible because we are both different types of players.”
