CSKA Moscow defender Mário Fernandes hopes he impressed Brazil Head Coach Dunga with his international debut.
The 24 year-old played 45 minutes as the Seleção beat Japan 4-0 on Tuesday and Fernandes was pleased with how he and the team performed during the second half.
“The first half was hard for us,” he said, as reported by GOAL.
“Japan marked tightly and were very strong, but the second half went really well for us and we scored more goals.
“It was my first time playing for Brazil and I wanted to take it slowly and remain calm. I hope I pleased Dunga.”
