Chelsea’s Diego Costa has outlined his relief at scoring his first goal for Spain.
The Brazilian-born forward finally found the net for La Furia Roja in their 4-0 win over Luxembourg on Sunday and admits he’s glad to be off the mark.
“It was bothering me a lot that I wasn’t able to score,” he said, according to AS.
“It bothered be a lot and on top of that, the team had lost. But this gives me a new life.
“I didn’t know how I was going to score. It was from a dead ball and I only had to hit it.
“I have to be thankful for the support of the Coach. Every game, he gave me another chance.”
