Brazil Head Coach Dunga believes beating Argentina will give his players a big boost.

The Seleção defeated their South American rivals 2-0 in Beijing to win the Superclásico de las Américas on Saturday and Dunga was left pleased with the way the game played out.

“After the World Cup, beating the runners-up, who then went on to beat Germany [in a friendly last month] is fantastic," he said, as reported by GOAL. “It gives huge confidence to the players.

“The team wanted to attack too quickly, without working the ball. At first we wanted to mark the defenders and left them to play. Then we began to press the ball and take our chances. Football is like that, you can’t play 90 minutes at the same intensity."
