Brazil Head Coach Dunga has admitted he is concerned that the smog in Beijing could adversely effect Saturday’s Superclásico de las Américas against Argentina.
According to The Guardian, pollution levels have risen 20 times above the maximum daily exposure recommended by the World Health Organisation.
With the conditions likely to still be prominent when Brazil to take the field to face Argentina at the National Stadium, Dunga has conceded that he will have to adjust his plans to ensure his players do not suffer.
“The pollution in Beijing is bad for both Brazil and Argentina so both teams have to do their best and deal with it, as we cannot change it ourselves,” said the tactician.
“Our plan is to make plenty of substitutions so that the players will not be affected by it.”
