The negotiations for his contract extension was arrested after his incident with the Seleção in August but according to Il Tempo, the right side AS Roma, Maicon is expected to extend its lease with the Roman formation. Currently under contract until 2015, the lease should eventually continue through 2017 in a few days.
Always according to the Italian newspaper, the former player of Inter Milan and Manchester City, should receive a salary of two million euros net per year.
Maicon’s contract negotations were suspended following his expulsion from the Brazilian team in August, but according to Il Tempo Maicon will extend his contract at As Roma until 2017.
Maicon’s contract expires at the end of this season.
