Sebastian Coe has conceded that it’s unlikely a Great British men"s football team will compete at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janiero.

With London hosting the games four years, a ‘home’ team was included in the tournament.

This time around, however, logistical issues over putting a squad together and how they would qualify has left Coe admitting the chances of Great Britain partaking are remote.

“It"s just in the ‘hard" basket," he said, as reported by Sky Sports. "Possibly a women"s team but I would rather assume that, operationally, that"s not going to happen in terms of the men"s team.

“Possibly with [the] women"s [team], we"ve still got some discussions.

“But certainly, the men"s team, I"m not sure I have the will to live through that process again."
