Argentina manager Gerald Martino has praised Brazil star Neymar ahead of Saturday’s friendly between the two South American giants.

The former Barcelona manager also discussed the rivalry between the two countries and believes it is the biggest in international football.

First Martino praised Neymar and put his exceptional performances for Barcelona down to the hard work the 22-year-old has put in.

Martino, who managed Neymar last season, was speaking to Marca.

He said: “Neymar is their stand-out star and his performances this season at Barcelona are down to all his hard work to adapt to the club’s playing style.”

The Argentina coach then went on to state Brazil versus Argentina is the biggest rivalry in international football.

Martino added: “Footballing rivalries are very special games all over the world and this is the biggest rivalry in international football.”
