Kaká is set to become the highest paid player in Major League Soccer history, according to reports.
Sports Illustrated claims that the 32 year-old, who is currently on loan at São Paulo from Orlando City, will receive just under $7.2 million annually.
Currently, Seattle Sounders attacker Clint Dempsey [$6.7 million] and Toronto FC’s Michael Bradley [$6.5 million] and Jermain Defoe [$6.1 million] are MLS’s highest earners, but Kaká is expected to earn notably more.
In the past, David Beckham received around $700,000 less than the Brazilian, while it is currently unclear how much New York City FC duo David Villa and Frank Lampard will be earning.
