Kaká’s recall to the Brazil national team has been met with a mixed response from São Paulo.

The 32 year-old, who is on loan from incoming Major League Soccer franchise Orlando City, has been handed a recall to the Seleção following an injury to Cruzeiro midfielder Ricardo Goulart.

Kaká’s involvement in Brazil’s friendlies against Argentina and Japan later this month means he will miss games for São Paulo and club executive Ataide Gil has admitted losing him is a blow.

"We’re happy for him, but it’s a shame that this is all a mess, because the CBF will not stop the league [during the FIFA window]," he told ESPN Brasil. "It is bad for us to lose a key player in such an important moment."
