Chelsea midfielder Ramires has been forced to pull out of the latest Brazil squad due to a muscle problem.

The 27-year-old has been struggled with an injury recently and it was confirmed by the Daily Mail that he has failed to recover in time.

Sao Paulo midfielder Souza has been called up for the first time as Ramires’ replacement and is joined in the squad by another uncapped player.

Gremio goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe has been selected by Brazil head coach Dunga as a precaution should first-choice goalie Jefferson not recover in tie for the friendly fixtures against Argentina and Japan.

The Botafogo keeper injured his hand on Wednesday night during his sides 3-2 defeat to Santos.

It is expected, though, that he will be fit for the Argentina fixture on October 11 in Beijing and for the match against Japan on October 14 in Singapore.
