England manager Roy Hodgson has reportedly questioned Paris Saint-Germain’s decision to sign David Luiz.

According to L’Equipe, the experienced tactician aired his views to the club’s President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Head Coach Laurent Blanc during the World Cup.

The paper claims that Hodgson told them “but how could your club take David Luiz? He makes at least one error in concentration a game! €50 million is crazy.”

Luiz joined PSG in a deal worth £50 million – a record fee for a defender – in June. The 27 year-old has so far made seven appearances for Les Rouge-et-Bleu, though was recently defended by Blanc, following some mixed performances.
