The match between São Paulo and Flamengo saw both teams to hit back in this spectacular game that ended on a parity score two goals everywhere. Players Tricolor had opened the scoring through the goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni back from injury, in the 17th minute but teammates returned to Alecsandro in the game on an Everton equalizer.
The second period will see opportunities for both sides but the carioca scorer Alecsandro who broke the deadlock in the 86th minute and thought he had done the hardest part but it did not count on the back, Luis Fabiano two minutes later gave the zero point for his team. An important Tricolor but for him who finds the net, four months after his injury goal.

Sao Paulo and Flamengo 2-2 at the Morumbi last night as the home team couldn’t win for a second time in a row. Luis Fabiano salvaged a point late on.

Goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni put the hosts ahead in the 17th minute, but Flamengo hit back through goals from Everton and Alecsandro.

Sao Paulo looked set to loose again after the defeat in the weekend against rivals Corinthians, but Luis Fabiano, who had last scored four months ago, saved the home side with a goal in the last minute of the second half.

Sao Paulo dropped to third spot in the table with 43 points.
