Chelsea’s assistant first team coach Steve Holland praised Brazil international Oscar after he scored the winner on Wednesday night to help the Blues defeat Bolton Wanderers in the Capital One Cup.

The 23-year-old drilled in from outside the box, ten minutes into the second half, to seal a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

Holland spoke to chelseafc.com and praised the quality of the Brazilian, he said: ‘It was a real quality strike.

“We said at half-time we were really happy and it needed one or two individuals to produce the quality to make the difference.

“And in the end Oscar’s moment of quality won the game. That is an ability he has got.”

Oscar played behind the striker for a large chunk of the game and Holland is hoping the playmaker can go on a scoring run now.

He added: “Playing behind the striker it is important you are not just a good link player but you threaten and score goals.

“We know Oscar is a talented player and we hope he will now go on a scoring run.”
