Brazilian Football Confederation President José Maria Marin is eager to have a rematch with Germany.

The Seleção were humbled 7-1 when they met Die Mannschaft in the semi-finals of this summer’s World Cup and Marin wants the opportunity to avenge the infamous defeat.

“We want to play a friendly match against Germany, so that we can forget about what happened back then. It’s a way to exorcize our demons, turning the page over and start fresh. We could go to their country if they like, we are truly interested in meeting with them again,” he said, as reported by LiveSoccerTV.

“There’s no doubt about our performance, we were truly disappointing. We will have another opportunity at home when we host the Olympic Games, and our goal should be to try to make things better for our fans, after what they endured last summer.”
