Brazil midfielder Ramires believes it is normal for Chelsea to be considered favourites for the Champions League due to the financials available to the Stamford Bridge club.
The energetic midfielder played 67 minutes on Tuesday night in the Blues group stage opener against Schalke.
Unfortunately the Brazil international couldn’t help his side achieve an opening round win as they were held to a 1-1 draw with the German outfit.
Nevertheless, Ramires has insisted that Chelsea will play in group stage match as if it was a final, such is their professionalism.
He spoke to the media, before the match on Tuesday, the Brazilian said: “”It is normal that Chelsea are one of the favourites for the Champions League, because of the history of the club, the money and the level of the squad.”
“But we are 100 per cent professional and the attitude in these matches is the same as it would be for the final.”
