Sampdoria forward Eder has admitted there was interest in him from Palermo over the summer.
The 27 year-old, who netted 12 goals last season, concedes he may have been tempted to work with Palermo Head Coach Giuseppe Iachini again, but is pleased to have stayed at Sampdoria.
“Yes, there was something,” he told Tuttosport. “After all, it is no mystery that between myself and Beppe Iachini there is great respect.
“We have known each other since our days together at Brescia and it was he who brought me to Sampdoria.
“He thought of me for the Palermo attack, but nothing really concrete happened, so I am here.
“Does Mihajlović consider me unsellable? Well, maybe. But I am here and I am happy to stay.”
