Adriano has revealed that he had offers to leave Barcelona in the summer but was always certain he would remain at the Camp Nou.
The 29-year-old discussed his future and also the new signings made by Luis Enrique during the transfer window.
Inside Spanish Football quoted the Brazilian, after he addressing the media recently.
Adriano said: “(Competition) is good for the team, it means we always have to be attentive and at 100%.
“Everything has changed since the new players arrived, and they have all added to the feeling of desire among us.
“They have come here because they want to win titles, and that’s good for us all.
“This summer I received offers to leave Barça, but I have always made it clear that I intend to stay here.”
Adriano will hope to establish himself in Enrique’s plans now that he has been given the all-clear after suffering heart problems recently.
