Kaka has been a major factor in the improvement in São Paulo"s form in the Campeonato Brasileiro, according to coach Muricy Ramalho.

The former AC Milan and Real Madrid playmaker makes up arguably the most potent attacking quartet in Brazilian club football, alongside Paulo Henrique Ganso, Alexandre Pato and Alan Kardec.

The four played together for the first time a month ago, in a comfortable 3-1 win over Vitória in the Brasileirão. Since then, there have been five wins from five for the Morumi outfit when the attackers are all playing.

Yesterday brought another three points with a 2-0 win against Sport Recife, with Kaka putting in a majestic performance.

"We didn"t doubt that Kaka would play well. We suffered a lot last year. Kaka arrived to give the team the final touch," Ramalho said immediately after yesterday"s match.

The manager also believes that the arrival of the veteran has affected his teammates in a positive way, especially Alexandre Pato. The 24-year-old had become somewhat of a lost figure at Milan and then Corinthians last year, but is enjoying a new lease of life at São Paulo.

"We explained to him [Pato] that he needs to be more competitive and he is also happy. Everybody likes him a lot," Ramalho said of the Seleção striker.
