Brazil right-back Maicon believes Dunga’s winning mentality is clear for the national team to see and is important for the squad.
Dunga achieved various success as a player and as a manager, notably winning the 1994 World Cup as a player.
The Roma defender believes the experience the new national team boss has is vital for him to be a successful coach.
Speaking to Goal.com, Maicon said: “Dunga has experienced everything as a player both on and off the pitch.
“I think having been a player is a very important credential for someone wants to be a successful coach.”
The Brazilian defender then listed Dunga’s coaching staff as among those who have enjoyed success in the game.
The current national team players will use Dunga as a example, Maicon insisted.
He added: “This is also the case of Gilmar, Taffarel, and Mauro Silva, who are also here with us. Dunga was a winning player, a world champion.
“He is an example to be followed for all that he achieved on the field and that experience shows now.”
