Chelsea midfielder Willian has admitted Brazil need to try and win every single game to erase the memories of their painful World Cup experience.

The host nation suffered embarrassment in their final two World Cup fixtures as they lost 7-1 and 3-0 to competition winners Germany and Holland respectively.

The attacker spoke to Goal.com before Brazil’s 1-0 win over Colombia and admitted it is important his countryman work hard to show they are trying to make up for the summer defeats.

Willian said: “I think that the first thing we have to do is make sure we work very hard, that is the most important thing.

“Brazilians will only forget the world cup through years of victories. We have to work towards winning every single game in order to forget what happened.”

Brazil and Willian will hope to continue erasing the bad memories of the summer but beating Ecuador on Tuesday night.
