Fernandinho has arrived in Miami ahead of Brazil’s friendly against Colombia tonight.

The Manchester City midfielder, who was a part of Luiz Felipe Scolari’s World Cup squad, had problems obtaining a visa to enter the USA, and missed the Seleção’s first two training sessions.

Only yesterday was the 29-year-old able to train with his teammates in preparation for the showdown with their fellow South Americans.

However, Dunga has already confirmed Luiz Gustavo and Ramires will start the game in central midfield for Brazil.

“I feel honoured and privileged to have come back to the Seleção after the World Cup and to be able to give continuity to my work. In this new cycle that the Seleção is beginning it is very important to be remembered,” he told CBF TV.

And according to Fernandinho, Colombia will cause just as many problems in tonight’s friendly as they did in the World Cup quarter-final. On that occasion, Brazil narrowly progressed to the semi-finals with a 2-1 win thanks to a magnificent free-kick from David Luiz.

“It will be a difficult game. Colombia have already showed that they have quality players and it will be a good spectacle. It is a South American clássico and I hope that we can equip ourselves well, earning one more victory,” Fernandinho added.
