Chelsea midfielder Ramires has praised new Brazil head coach Dunga and offered his gratitude to the new man in charge.

The 27-year-old was handed his debut by Dunga and also went to the World Cup in 2010 under his management.

Ramires spoke to Goal.com about the new boss and was full of praise for the 1994 World Cup winner, he said: “I have had a very good experience with Dunga.

“I owe him my gratitude because he was the first coach who called me to the national team.

“I have great respect for him and now my only thought is help the group. The chance he gave me was excellent.”

On the 2010 World Cup experience, Ramires described it as a “unique” opportunity and he is hopeful of getting another chance in four years time when the competition goes to Russia.

The Chelsea ace added: “I was young and just starting my career and he gave me the chance to go to a World Cup, it was a unique opportunity. Now I have another chance.”
