Brazilian defender Maicon is set to sign a contract extension with Roma, Il Tempo report.
The Italian publication believe the right-back will be offered a one-year extension to his current deal to keep the international at the club until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
Maicon was selected for his country during the World Cup but had been linked with a move away from Roma after the conclusion of that tournament.
However, the 33-year-old formally agreed that he would sign an extension with the club and it appears that is set to be officially confirmed over the next week.
The Brazilian wasn’t included in the latest Brazil squad with new head coach Dunga choosing to leave the experienced defender out.
Maicon enjoyed huge success last season, though, and will hope more good form for Roma will see him earn an international recall.
