Roberto Carlos criticizes Jose Maria Marin
In a lengthy interview with ESPN, Roberto Carlos, the current coach of Turkish club Sivassport, has blasted the management of the CBF.
Roberto Carlos, Brazil's most decorated left-back of the last decades with an illustrious career at some of Europe's elite clubs, has spoken out against Jose Maria Marin, the president of the Brazilian FA.
"The president I am seeing now at the CBF does not come even close to Ricardo Teixeira," said Roberto Carlos in an exclusive interview to ESPN Brasil. "[He doesn't think] about Brazil, about improving Brazilian football."
Roberto Carlos did not hold back and further criticized Marin.
"He thinks only about the presidency of the CBF."
"There is much wrong. As president he has to lead and he had not done so. He hides. He does nothing for the clubs and I don't think this is right."
