Sandro’s move to Queens Park Rangers was one of the biggest on transfer deadline day in England and the move has been widely viewed as a coup for the west London club.

The 25-year-old transferred from Tottenham Hotspur to fellow Premier League rivals QPR for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year contract.

The Brazilian will now aim to kick start his career at Loftus Road and Press Association Sports Journalist Simon Peach believes he can do that under former boss Harry Redknapp.

Peach told the official Queens Park Rangers website: “Sandro enjoyed his best years there under Redknapp and, with first-team options limited at Spurs, this gives him the perfect opportunity to kick-start his career.”

The Sports Journalist believes Sandro’s move to the Premier Leagur outfit could be perfect for both parties involved.

He added: “Sandro was one of the best defensive midfielders around not so long ago and, still only 25, is well capable of getting back to the level he was at before injury struck.

“It is not just on the field that he is key, with his likeable, outgoing personality sure to raise the mood when needed.

“Whatever formation Redknapp chooses to go with moving forwards, Sandro will play a key part.

“As well as acting as a defensive shield, he can start attacks and impact the tempo when required. I suspect he could soon become a fans’ favourite.”
