Ramires: Europeans still respect BrazilRamires celebrates scoring a goal for his club Chelsea
Chelsea midfielder Ramires believe that despite the 7-1 humiliation at the hands of Germany Brazil remains widely respected across the globe.
Ramires has 50 caps for Brazil and came on as a substitute after the break against Germany at the World Cup. He is adament that Brazil are still a force in football.
"What happened at the World Cup, was not just like any team could do this against Brazil," said Ramires, as reported by SportTV.
"The respect that the people have in the world does't end after one game. In Europe, the players say that it was a game that won't happen again, that it was a surprise that a team that conceded few goals during the tournament, conceded all those goals."
"Not at a single moment, do they disrepect us."
