Filipe Luis has been given a new chance by Dunga to impress in the Brazilian shirt as Brazil takes on Colombia later this week in Miami.

The 29-year-old left-back has only four caps for Brazil. Luis was part of the Confederations Cup squad, but he didn’t play. He was also on a list of seven standby players for the 2014 World Cup.

“My trajectory with Brazil has always been one of call-ups and exits,” said Luis as reported by globoesporte.com. “This has happened with Dunga and with Scolari. I always think about the group to work well on and off the pitch.”

This season Luis made the move from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea. He also spoke about the left-back position in the Brazilian team.

“I don’t believe that the Seleção is just about one spot,” said Luis. “The Seleção is about the moment and the best are called up. If Marcelo is not the best, he is one of the best in the world. Alex Sandro got injured and I hope that he has chance in the future.”
