Hulk injured for up to six weeks
Brazilian international Hulk will be out injured for four to six weeks. He will miss Brazil’s friendlies and Zenit’s opener in the Champions League.
Hulk is suffering from a biceps injury and edema, which is grave enough to keep him sidelined for several weeks, according to the medical department of the Zenit, as reported by globoesporte.com.
Last Sunday Hulk got injured in Zenit’s 1-0 victory against Lokomotiv Moscow, a game valid for the Russian championship. After 43 minutes Hulk could no longer continue and had to leave the pitch.
Dunga decided to call up Robinho as a substitute for the injured Hulk, who will miss Brazil’s first two friendly internationals after the World Cup against Colombia and Ecuador respectively.
Hulk will also miss Zenit’s opening game in the Champions League against Benfica, where Julio Cesar plays. The big Brazilian is expected to return to practice early October.
