Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has wished friend Sandro all the best after the Brazilian completed a transfer deadline day move to Premier League side Queens Park Rangers.

The 33-year-old former Brazil international posted a message on his Facebook page wishing his former club team mate luck at his new team.

Gomes and Sandro developed a great rapport together at Tottenham Hotspur and the goalkeeper hopes his friend has success with his new challenge.

The Watford stopper said on his Facebook page: “My young brother Sandro Raniere to say that I always will want the best for you.

“God bless you at this new challenge with QPR you’re the best and you know that!

“Forget about everything and focus on this great challenge!”

Sandro has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons with Spurs and the Brazilian will hope he can overcome those troubles at Loftus Road, his friend Gomes will be wishing him all the best.
