Marseille are closing in on the signing of Botafogo defender Dória, according to reports.
GOAL.com claims that the 19 year-old will have a medical on Monday, ahead of completing a €10 million switch.
Botafogo Head Coach Vágner Mancini confirmed that the deal was likely to happen on Sunday – Dória sat out the 1-0 win over Santos – and admits that the centre-back will be missed.
“He’s a spectacular athlete, he’s so much more than everybody thinks,” stated the 47 year-old tactician.
“He’ll be soon be playing for Brazil. I am sorry he’s leaving, we’ll miss him very much. He’s an unique talent. I wish him luck for his future career.”
Dória, who has been capped once by Brazil and was part of an U-20 side that won the 2014 Toulon Tournament, has scored twice in 68 appearances for Botafogo.
