Milan have sent goalkeeper Gabriel on a season-long loan to Carpi.
The 21 year-old, who has represented Brazil once at international level and won a silver medal with the under-23 side at the 2012 Olympic Games, found himself behind new signings Diego López and Michael Agazzi, plus Christian Abbiati, at the Serie A outfit.
Last season, Gabriel was handed seven first-team appearances, but after some unconvincing performances, he was demoted to the bench.
The Unaí native will hope to prove his worth at Serie B outfit Carpi, who finished 12th last term and drew 1-1 with Livorno in their opening game of the new campaign.
Gabriel will be competing with Roberto Dossena and Paolo Guerci for a starting berth.
