Giampiero Pocetta, the agent of Parma forward Amauri, has confirmed he is in talks over a possible move to Torino.

Having sold Alessio Cerci to Atlético de Madrid, the Granata are frantically trying to bring in a replacement before the transfer window shuts and have seemingly picked out Amauri as their man.

The 34 year-old, who has also been linked with Queens Park Rangers and Udinese, is out of contract next summer and has fallen behind Ishak Belfodil in the pecking order.

With Parma willing to sell, Pocetta is confident a transfer will happen, even if moving to Torino would be controversial for Amauri, given his past at city rivals Juventus.

“We are in advanced negotiations with Torino, so we’re optimistic about the move,” he told CalcioNews24, as reported by Football Italia.

“We’ll see, it is a great opportunity. This afternoon we will define the last details. I’d say there’s a very good chance of this going through.”

Amauri joined Parma for a third spell on a free transfer from Fiorentina in July 2012. Last season, he scored eight goals in 31 appearances to help them to a 6th place finish.
