Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro insisted Thursday’s 3-0 victory over AEL Limassol was “comfortable” and admitted it was good to be playing again.

The Brazilian midfielder hadn’t featured under new boss Mauricio Pochettino before yesterday’s Europa League second leg.

However, the new Argentine head coach selected Sandro from the off at White Hart Lane and the midfielder responded with a typical all action performance.

Speaking to Spurs TV after the game, the 25-year-old said: “I feel very good to play again.

“We felt comfortable during the match, we started well and controlled the game.”

The Brazilian commented on how comfortable an evening goalkeeper Hugo Lloris had too, before insisting Spurs will be going all out to win the Europa League this season.

Sandro added: “I think they (Limassol) only had two or three shots at goal so Hugo had a comfortable day. We have to try and play like this every game.

“We have a very good, strong squad. We’ll go for it in the Europa League this year. It’s a very good competition.”
