Barcelona defender Douglas has admitted he is yet to contact any of the Brazilians who are already at the club.
The 26 year-old, who has been signed from Sao Paulo, insists he is focused on succeeding at the Catalan club and expects to strike up a bond with his fellow countrymen in the near future.
I didn’t even try. We are people who play on other teams and didn’t come across each other, so I didn’t get a chance to talk to them,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“They are good players, representing our national team. The first thing I’m thinking is to do my job because the Coach has to choose and then things will come naturally.
“There are no words to be in a team like Barcelona, where everyone wants to play and in which there are great players.
“Now I want to learn from them and work with them to make a good team and win trophies.”
