Chelsea have won their opening two Premier League fixtures but Brazilian Oscar has reiterated there is a long way to go still.
The Blues encouraging start to the new campaign was predicted but it has still pleased the 22-year-old.
However, he was quick to warn that it is early days yet and that they need to continue picking up as many points as possible.
The Brazilian spoke to the official club website, he said: “I’m excited for the season ahead.
“We have a good team and need to play every game well. Six points is a good start for us but we know the Premier League has only just begun.
“There is a long way to go. Every point is very important and it’s good that we managed to get three of them in our first home game of the season.”
Chelsea face their toughest test of the season this weekend, though, when they travel to face Everton at Goodison Park and Oscar will hope they continue their encouraging early season form.
