Rômulo is ready to play anywhere for Juventus as the Brazilian reflected on his recent performance for the Turin side.

The 27-year-old joined Juventus on loan from Verona in August but has been battling back from a long-term injury.

When the versatile player spoke to Tuttosport, he explained how he feels he is getting close to his peak fitness.

Football Italia quoted Rômulo, he said: “I had been out for three months. It was a very difficult period for me.

“Against Sassuolo I believed I did well. We won, but now we need to improve our physical condition.

“Wherever I am needed, I will willingly play. I just lack a little to return to 100 per cent.

“Here I played a good game at a physical level – let’s say I am at 80-85 per cent. I have started from scratch so as to be able to play a great season.”

Rômulo pondered whether he would be handed his competitive debut on Saturday against Chievo, in the Serie A opener. However, the former Fiorentina ace was unsure if he would play.

“Will I play on Saturday at Chievo? It is the Coach who decides,” Rômulo added.

“I just have to be ready to play. We work day after day, because Juve must always have a winning character.”
