Chelsea manager Mourinho full of praise for Diego Costa’s adaption
José Mourinho revealed following Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Leicester City that forward Diego Costa isn’t speaking good English but admitted he is adapting quickly to the Blues style of play.
The Brazilian-born forward scored the opening goal at Stamford Bridge and delivered another impressive performance in just his second appearance for the club.
The Spanish international now has two goals in two games and his manager Mourinho has been impressed.
He told the official club website that he knew Costa’s adaption wouldn’t be a big deal.
“I got the feeling in pre-season his adaptation wouldn’t be a big deal,” Mourinho said.
“He’s a happy guy, not speaking good English but always communicating. His style of play is adapted to our needs.”
Costa will hope to continue his good early season form and carry on showing his £32 million price tag is a bargain.
