Shakhtar Donetsk forward Luiz Adriano is a potential transfer target for Juventus, according to reports.

Respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Sporting Director Giuseppe Marotta is in the market for a new attacker, following the departure of Fabio Quagliarella and Mirko Vučinić to Torino and Al-Jazira respectively.

Manchester United’s Javier Hernández, Lukas Podolski [Arsenal] and Lacina Traoré [Monaco] are all believed to be under consideration by Marotta, while Luiz Adriano is also seemingly in the frame.

The 27 year-old, who is reportedly a target for Roma, is out of contract in June 2015. He has been with Shakhtar since March 2007, when they signed him from Internacional for €3 million.

In his time with the Kroty, Luiz Adriano has won 15 major honours and netted 108 goals in 236 appearances. His also the vice-captain to Darijo Srna and was top scorer in the Ukrainian Premier League last season.

Given his stature, Head Coach Mircea Lucescu would be loathed to lose the Brazilian, but with his contract running down, the ongoing conflict in and around Donetsk and the lure of a big European club, he may be forced into selling his main forward.
