Léo Baptistão excited after completing Rayo Vallecano loan move
Young Brazilian forward Léo Baptistão has expressed his joy at returning to Rayo Vallecano on loan and admitted he matured a lot in the last year.
The 21-year-old was quoted by Inside Spanish Football after discussing his return to the club where he enjoyed his move successful season.
Baptistão said: “I returned to Rayo because I know the club. I was looking for the chance to play and feel like a footballer again.
“I learned a lot last year and I don’t consider it a waste because it serves as a lesson in maturity. After the loss of several players, I knew Atlético were going to make more signings.
“There weren’t the right circumstances to continue at Atléti and we decided it’d be best to go on loan to Rayo. All of the loans I see as a chance for me to play.”
Baptistão will hope to get plenty of game time at Rayo and show why he was so highly rated seasons ago.
