Arsenal may move for Shakhtar star Bernard
Arsenal are considering a move to bring in Brazil World Cup star Bernard on loan from Ukranian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk until the end of the season, following the recent turbulence in the Eastern European country.
Boss Arsene Wenger is a long time admirer of the 21 year-old and had attempted to buy him from Atletico Mineiro before Shakhtar jumped in with a reported fee of €25 million.
The 2013 Copa Libertadores winner is understood to be very keen on a move to London, but it is not known whether Wenger feels that his options in the final third of the ptich are sufficient for the current campaign.
The youngster made his Brazil debut in 2012 and has gone on to win 12 caps for the national side, scoring once. Unfortunately for Bernard, his only starting role in the World Cup was in the semi-final annihilation at the hands of eventual winners Germany.
