The link up play between Philippe Coutinho and England internationals Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge has excited Liverpool fans all summer and the Brazilian has admitted it is all down to hard work on the training ground.

The 22-year-old has undoubtedly been the star of the Reds pre-season campaign and his highlights wheel makes impressive viewing.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the Brazilian dicussed how he has built up his partnership with Sterling and Sturridge.

Coutinho said: “I’m constantly trying to learn from them and from my other team-mates in training.

“We try to perfect the combination in training.

“They are fast players, which makes it easier for us to pass the ball into them, as they’re always running into free space.”

The playmaker went on to admit that he always tries to enjoy himself on a football pitch and not let mistakes effect him.

Coutinho added: “I try to have the most fun I can on the pitch, as playing football is what I like to do most in my life.

“Hence I’m always looking to have a good time and enjoy the experience.”
