Brazil youth head coach Alexandre Gallo has named his under-21 squad for a series of friendlies in Doha, Qatar next month.

The next generation of Selecao stars will line up against Egypt, Qatar and Lebanon in the coming weeks, with the majority of the named players expected to form the crux of Gallo’s 2016 World Cup squad.

Amongst the bigger names selected, Marquinhos of PSG and Botafogo’s Doria would be expected to become the central defensive pairing both in the here and now and perhaps looking forward to the full national team in the decade ahead.

Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcantara, younger brother of Spain’s Thiago and son of 1994 World Cup winner Mazinho, is included, as is much-talked about Sao Paulo forward Ademilson.

10 of the 22 men listed already ply their trade outside of Brazil, with those in question being employed in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Russia.
