Brazil midfielder Hernanes has targeted achieving something “extraordinary” with Internazionale this season with the new Serie A campaign fast approaching.
Inter Milan start their season on August 31st, away to Torino, and the Brazilian is hoping they can earn lots of success.
The 29-year-old spoke to Sport Mediaset ahead of the new season and discussed his current fitness.
Football Italia quoted Hernanes, he said: “I am feeling good but I’m still not at my peak fitness.
“I still need a few days to get back to my best condition.”
The attacking midfielder then admitted the Nerazzurri have a lot of hunger to achieve success this season, following a mixed 2013/14 campaign.
Hernanes joined from Lazio during the winter transfer window last season and is hoping to help his team mates earn glory this year, he added: “Inter have a lot of hunger.
“I want to do something extraordinary and significant for this team.”
