Neymar has thanked the Barcelona fans for the affection they have given to him since arriving at the Camp Nou last season.
The Brazilian didn’t have the most successful of first seasons in Spain, struggling with injuries and poor form at various times during the season.
However, he has thanked the fans for making him extremely happy with their support.
Neymar spoke to the official club website, he said: “I’m delighted with the affection of Barca fans, they are around the world, in countries that I never expected.
“It makes me hugely happy. I love much of what I do, which is playing football.”
The 22-year-old went on to insist that he takes so much pride from playing for Barcelona, he added: “For me there is a great pride in being part of the history of Barcelona – one of the biggest clubs that exists in the world.
“I have the pleasure of wearing the Barca shirt and play with team-mates whom I am a fan of and whom I admire very much.”
