Barcelona and Brazil star Neymar has returned to full training with the Spanish club, six weeks after suffering a broken vertebrae in a World Cup quarter final with Colombia.
A knee in the back from Juan Zuniga put paid to Neymar’s tournament in July, after he had guided the hosts into the last eight; it was no surprise that Selecao didn’t go any further in the competition on the back of Neymar’s injury.
But earlier this morning, the 22 year-old took part in a full session alongside Barca teammates new and old, with a view to making a playing reutrn at some point in their opening league match with Elche, on August 24.
It was little over a year ago that the player joined from Santos, enduring as he did a tricky first season abroad, failing to win a trophy and being at the centre of an investigation into the legality of his transfer.
