Brazil Under-20 Head Coach Alexandre Gallo is hopeful that more attention will be paid to youth systems.

The tactician, who will manage the Seleção’s Olympic squad, also insists that he feels no extra pressure to succeed, following Brazil’s disappointing conclusion to the 2014 World Cup.

“The development of young players has always been what sustains and feeds football,” he told FIFA.com. “All the coaches are aware of the importance of our work with the different age groups.

“The Olympic cycle starts with putting the foundations in place at youth level, which is what we’re focusing on. I don’t feel any extra pressure. It’s important that people pay a little more attention to what’s happening within the Brazilian youth system.”
